Open Gardens

We opened our garden on the mornings of 10 & 11 May, then all day on Sunday 12 May. The wind blew an absolute hooley but 150 intrepid visitors braved the breeze to enjoy non-stop sunshine. I showed the vast majority around the garden while Ali & Trish kept up a constant supply of coffee, tea and cake. The kitchen garden drew the greatest interest with lots of people learning about no-dig gardening.

Although I don’t have any photos of people who visited our garden as we were much too busy to take any, I do have shots of many of the other gardens we were able to visit over the weekend. I really can’t thank them enough. There were 18 gardens open to anyone who cared to come, but primarily members of our Facebook Group - The Herault Gardener. Whether large or small, each garden displayed the real pleasure they give their owner. There was something to learn from each of them.
