There’s a ferocious wind blowing outside and my greenhouse has had chunks blown out of it. However, it was still OK to go and sow Trieste white half-long, patty pan and yellow Orelia courgettes, along with some yellow melons.

Tomatoes are all doing fine and look strong and healthy. I used water saved in the tanks so there is some greening of the soil in the pots but I haven’t lost anything to damping off and I’m now using tap water.

I sowed the borlotti beans much too soon so they are triffids and I’m really keen to get them into the soil. However with these winds continuing for the next few days and low overnight temperatures in the middle of next week I’ll try to leave it for another few days.
