Productive workshop

Productive workshop

I’ve just spent a very pleasurable morning giving a kitchen garden workshop to Jules, Miles & Joss. We covered everything from setting up a no-dig garden to what to sow and when. It is beautifully warm and sunny at last, although there is a healthy breeze. Once we were through with the workshop we set to harvesting enough for lunch. They dug a couple of short rows of Jersey Royals, salad, radishes, Jessy peas, onions & strawberries. The vegetables were cooked/served within half and hour of picking along with onion & mustard tart that I made yesterday. We had labneh that I made about a month ago, then strawberries and ice cream. Yum.

Not a bad haul.

I hope they’ll soon be producing bumper crops in their own gardens! I look forward to updates.
