After a full day of steady light rain the ground has absorbed well – just as the plants need. The advantage of having an empty hole ready for the new pool is that I can see just how much the rain has penetrated. It’s taken all that time to go about 25cm so you can imagine how much we’d need for it to reach parched trees and shrubs.
