Each year I sow edible physalis, but they take ages to develop and the fruit doesn’t always ripen before the first frost, so this year I’m seeing if repotting them and keeping the plants in the greenhouse will help me steal a march next year. They usually die in the frost, so I’ll try to keep them warm. These are large bushy plants, so I cut them down so they don’t have to work so hard before they take root. Fingers crossed.
